The Roadworks Interactive Map will give you information about roadworks which are being undertaken on the County's roads. If this is your first visit, please use the help tab to find out more about how to use it.

The layout of this page is designed so that you can view map based roadworks information on the right hand side of your screen at all times, whilst allowing you to view and query text based information on the left hand side using the tabs.
Using the Map
  • Drag the map with your mouse
  • Use the zoom bar on the left of the map to zoom in or out
  • Use the arrows on the top-left of the map to scroll
  • Use the centre square of the arrows to go back to the start
Roadworks Map - This gives a list of roadworks currently shown on the map for a particular period (e.g. Today, Next 7 days, etc.):
  • Roadworks on busy roads, or involving several roads as part of a larger project will have the highest impact on traffic. We identify these earlier than other roadworks to give you more warning. When the map is zoomed out, only these high impact roadworks are listed and shown on the map by a symbol. Accessing an item on the high impact list will zoom in to their location and give you further details about the measures that have been implemented to minimise their disruptive effects.
  • You can zoom in on the map to view all the roadworks on each road in a particular area. A symbol means that roadworks that have been proposed to take place on that road, but have not yet been confirmed to be in progress. A symbol means that roadworks have been confirmed to be currently in progress on the road. Accessing an item from this additional list (or one of the symbols on the map) gives you further details about the particular roadwork (e.g. who is doing the work, expected start and finish dates, etc.).
  • You can also view a full list of roadworks on each road in the County.
Find Location - This gives you the facility to zoom the map to a particular postcode, street, town or district.

More Information

The aim of this page is to give you information about roadworks which are being undertaken on the County's roads. It is not intended to be an electronic route planner as this functionality can be accessed from other organisations (e.g. AA, RAC, etc.). The layout of this page is designed so that you can view map based roadworks information on the right hand side of your screen at all times, whilst allowing you to view and query text-based information on the left hand side using the tabs.

Roadworks Map - gives a list of roadworks currently shown on the map for a particular period (e.g. Today, Next 7 days, etc.):

These are shown on the map by red triangle with man digging (current) and red triangle with exclamation mark (proposed) symbols. Accessing an item from this additional list (or one of the symbols on the map) gives you further details about the particular roadwork (e.g. who is doing the work, expected start and finish dates, etc.).
  • You can also view a full list of roadworks on each road in the County.
